•

Date: Tuesday, November 3, 2026

Meeting Start: 7:05 PM

Location: Virtual, via GoogleMeet

Attendees: Jessica G., Angela C., Paige T., Greg S., & (Richie L. 8 PM)

“This year is coming to an end & here before we know it!”

Item 1: President’s Report (Jessica G.):

A. Last month, we met virtually with Richie Lipson to discuss the Jamband Alliance. He sent a written memorandum our way, asking us to review it so we can ask additional questions during next month’s (November) meeting. The Team met virtually prior to ‘welcoming’ him into the GoogleMeet at 8 PM.

Team’s thoughts/questions:

Excited about the possibility of collaboration with Jam Band Alliance (currently an AZ chapter and a NorCal chapter).

We asked about their mission:

To become a national organization that supports local chapters structurally and financially in order to promote acts and venues within the jam band community.

He suggested we discuss a transition plan, legal details, creating and funding a budget next. He requested basic financial information and will draft a new document for our review before we meet again.

New officer elections are this month. We will meet with Ritchie again in February 2027 (Tues., Feb. 2) after the new officers have an opportunity to review the memorandum and meeting notes.

B. Our 3rd Annual LVJBS Memorial Tree event on Sunday, November 1st was a nice time. Rain, Wind, &Shine— We made it happen! Thanks to Jaime for getting the photo printer Haley’s way & the table over to Jessica. Thanks to Paige for ordering/picking up the pizza. Thanks to Haley for getting the photos printed & the bin over to Jessica. Thanks to Jessica for getting the event organized, getting the plates/desserts purchased. Thanks to JFree and his ‘drumming crew’ for being there for us all. Our donation tub had $60 in it to help with reimbursements.

C. Ad-Partnerships updates:

No new updates from BBLV or other venues.

D. Our Q4 SandDollar LV event: MOKSHA was Friday, 10/23.

Thanks to the table set-up/Volunteers/break-down crew. We made $325 from the raffle/donations. (Jessica added the 3 JamminOn dyes to some ‘festive ghost’ cookie jars to create 3 raffle prizes.)

E. Instrument donations to Cortney JHS’s ORCHESTRA program (Viola) was held on WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 21st. Thanks to Paige for joining Jessica at the presentation.

The next presentation to the CJHS BAND program (Guitar) will take place MONDAY, NOVEMBER 23rd @ 8 AM.

Pete Sittler – reached out with “less than pristine gear” to donate. We requested he hold off until 2027 to donate.

F. 2027 Officers NOMINATIONS were received and the Nominees were all emailed, asking to ‘Accept/Decline’ by Sunday, 11/15. They will be asked to send a bio/goals for the LVJBS/photo to be added to the ‘GoogleForm’s VOTING BALLOT.

NOVEMBER: On, or before, November 22nd, VOTING for the OFFICERS (only PAID Members can vote) will begin. We will create a GoogleForm BALLOT to submit votes, sending it via email to the paid members. (Yet, to ensure only PAID Members are voting, this will not be able to remain anonymous; therefore, only a couple Officers will have access to the responses and to count the votes.) (All nominees will be invited to the December meeting.)

DECEMBER: Public Meeting, on December 1st, will allow in-person ballots for those Members in attendance to vote that way, if preferred. (Jessica to create paper ballots, bringing ballots/pens to the meeting). At the meeting’s end, the ANNOUNCEMENT of the 2027 Officers will be shared.

**If a person is elected for more than one position, how is that handled? Plan is to review our bylaws and connect with similar organizations such as Las Vegas Blues Society to learn their procedure.
